Summer Day Camp 2008
Join us this summer for Estuarine Adventures at the Nisqually Reach Nature Center! Who, What, When, Where, Why??? Become a natural detective to find out more about South Sound issues and how science can be used as a tool to answer these questions and more.
Our tried and true, hands-on activities will introduce campers to many fundamental biological and ecological principles in a science-based curriculum. Student will get the opportunity to study fish, crabs, clams and much more as we walk them through inquiry based science programs. During these programs students will learn the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates, animal/habitat connections, food chains, food webs, and basic Geology/ Hydrology.
To register, send in a completed registration form (pdf, 132kb). If you would like to become a supporting member of NRNC please contact the center. Before and after day-care can be arranged for an extra fee. Day Camp sessions are size-limited and spaces often fill quickly, so register your camper for this year’s adventure soon! For more information contact Daniel Hull, NRNC Director at (360) 459-0387. |
