At the Nature Center we depend on people like you to make it possible to continue our work, and take on new ventures. Yes, we occasionally get grants for special projects, but our day-to-day expenses are covered by membership dues. Here's why we need your support:
- Local school teachers and school kids still depend on us for hands-on
marine environmental education. We are the only estuarine environmental
education field trip destination available to South Sound schools.
- We provide college students a unique field station for the study of
the South Sound marine environment.
- In 2001 we launched out first summer day camps in many years. One
camper had so much fun during the July session, that he asked his Mom to
return for the camp in August....with his younger brother! Help us
continue this program.
- Your support is vital to maintaining our momentum. We depend on your
membership dues for all the Center's operating expenses: heat, lights,
telephone, building maintenance, office expenses, development of
educational materials, and on and on…Your decision to renew your
membership is very important to us!
- None of this important work is possible without your support. Please
join the many other Nisqually Reach Nature Center members who believe
